Listening to Streaming Audio in RH 9


Just wondering ...What program (that comes with RedHat 9.0) allows you to listen to streaming Audio?

Hi,

This was the question I had 10 mins ago. And found the answer in these groups. I use Xmms. First go to ShoutCast.com find a station you like and when you try to listen RH9 asks you if you want to save the pls file. Save the file somewhere you can find it easily. Start up Xmms (in menu..Sound And Video --> Audio Player. Right click on the player and select Play File.

thnx ... I use Zinf to play media files...So I used to stream...Works great

you can also use mpg123/321.

from a commandline type mpgXXX (whichever you have, though
i have had better results with mpg123 myself) http://server.
