Hi gang;
I am using Linuxlite 5.2 x64 on a laptop and a desktop. I have never in my history of using this distro (first use 3.8) have gone more than a day or two without receiving a list of updates available when I checked. All of a sudden, for about the last week, I get "Your System is up to date", on both systems. This begs the question, do I have a problem, or has there actually been no updates??

Typically, at least over in my end of the planet, Ubuntu LTS don't dabble in the testing arena like Fedora, Debian testing, rolling releases. LTS (Long Term Support) is all about stability (Stable) ---> We don't want the phone ringing off the hook for Pete's sake (support team).
Most of the Ubuntu LTS I've played with typically would go weeks without an update, why fix something that ain't broke, trying to make it slightly better is likely to break it.

I realize what you have said is true, however, since I installed Linux Lite 5.2 (downstream Ubuntu 20.04 LTS), I have wondered whether I did stumble into some rolling release, as updates came very frequently (very nearly daily). Mid-December, they simply stopped, leaving me puzzled. I wholly agree if it ain't broke don't fix it (worked for years in Windows IT environment), but I am concerned by the sudden change in system behavior (failure to update is a common feature in a hacked / broken Windows environment). Currently looking for a "by date" update list for 20.04 lts before I take any action. I am by no means a Unix / Linux system administrator, but I have been supporting myself in the Linux environment for 22 years.
Thanks

I just got back from an uptown update party. I went to town and updated a handful of Operating Systems, still no updates for Ubuntu 20.04, must be near a month or two since the last time Ubuntu's had something to eat.

I guess they were taking a hiatus. Got a bunch of updates 1/5/2021. Please close question
thanks
