Smile Linux Foundation: Buy and Open Source Microsoft Bob?

I had this funny idea. If Linux Foundation who Microsoft is a member of, or Linus Torvalds
... (linux creator) bought or was gifted the Microsoft Bob program https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft_Bob and gave it to everyone... lol
This may help
1 people learn about computers
2 laugh
3 and have more fun... just a thought. Microsoft has already relicensed their movie maker for certain uses.
Will continue researching.

Bob would be crappy Win16 code. Completely worthless on a modern system.

Smile more on purpose, discussion of interfaces

There is a package based on W.I.N.E. that makes win16 programs compatible with modern systems, such as otvdm 0.8.1. People could use Microsoft B.O.B. to experiment with types of User Interfaces. Some people cannot use a mouse and keyboard. I had listed some purposes. I keep thinking of an augmented reality system, that is optic-triggered so that when you look at the object it performs tasks. It is another type of user interface to experiment with. I don't remember it from the past, but I remember the dog mascot. I'm glad linux doesn't have a talking assistant or avatar, lol.Children may have fun with it, like tuxmath, tuxpaint, autodraw... add more creativity to our gui's or compiz/beryl...

OK, yes we know this. The question I have is what do you think BOB could do that something more modern cannot?

And BOB would be useless to them, since it requires the use of both.

That's why I mentioned optical interface at first (or tried too), they have camera mice, touch screens... assistive technology, and opencv... 3d VR headgear... I still do not know how to communicate clearly in this forum? Some of questions people were asking I answered... maybe I should show a video?... explaining?... Maybe kids could program the dog, or Dr. Watson if available to do things.

Here is an old video... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5teG6ou8mWU

But BOB was just a dumbed down interface for windows.

It couldn't do any of the things you are suggesting.

If you're looking for ways for kids to learn about computers, there are better and more modern things they can do: https://www.linuxlinks.com/programmingtoolskids/

No It couldn't do any of the things I was suggesting.
rewritten ideas and intentions for something like this after watching video....
A. A community driven networked community that uses p2p technology.... they used to have file sharing apps.
B. BOB has privacy issues... depending on where in house
C. BOB has scripted A.I. or a basic decission support system...

I see like the dog, chair, as type of interfaces...

Linux Desktop and Windows I have noticed both have the model of the physical top of a persons desk. I am glad new technologies are being invented. I am glad kde-plasma is around and changing. Some people like Hellen Keller (deceased but trying to give example), indiginous peoples, elderly people may not have a need for interface systems such as
mobile phones or desktop systems. Dogs can use buttons to communicate.

D. User interfaces and assistive or augmentive technologies - what does the future look like?

Thanks for your time in discussing.

I am unable to actually use BOB at this time. Some people may want to use it for commercial purposes, I am avoiding it for now and just watched the video instead.
Update: An 'oem version with a new pc' went for 39.99 on ebay saw another version for maybe $140

Someone mentioned to me if people are on a cell phone they may not be able to view all threads/replies... this thought applied to email too.
