Linux Distro comments

i'm very pleased with using Mandrake 10. my first experience with linux was red hat linux 7.0 then i used red hat linux 9.0. I had a few problems with the networking and printing on mandrake 10, but i got them sorted in no time. I was just wondering if theres any other software out there worth downloading?

thanks

You haven't mentioned what your interests are. There is one program you might be interested in. The blender 3d program. You can get it at blender3d.org. Earlier versions used to come with mandrake. The program is now open source. Users were able to raise enough money to purchase the rights to the program after the company that wrote it went under after the internet crash.

I have the knewstreamer running on a child taskbar on my desktop. It is a good way of finding out about new programs. News items scroll across the screen. You just click on the link if you see something interesting.

One program that I installed is called StreamTuner. You can find the mandrake rpm file on one of the ftp sites. Its in the contribs directory. It displays internet radio stations that you can listen to. If you also install streamripper, you can record them also.
