Linux 2.6.0 and nvidia driver error.

I compiled the linux 2.6.0 kernel using

make all;make bzImage;make modules;make modules_install;make install

I then rebooted, everything worked fine (+ agpgart actually got my aperture size!) but when I went to compile the 4496 drivers, I get an error saying that modversions.h (/lib/modules/2.6.0/build/include/linux/modversions.h) did not exist. (which was true) How can I fix it? Why hasn't the compilition of my kernel added that?
