Question lilo recover

with reference to your previous suggestion to recover lilo
by booting from the suse CD and running the command
/sbin/lilo -v ,did not work.
it did give the following error

Reading boot sector /dev/hda
Merging with boot/boot.b
Fatal: open /boot/boot.b :No such file or Directory

please give me a suggestion to recover lilo.

reinstall the lilo rpm. assuming it was installed from rpm in the first place... the bootsector file is pretty standard and comes as part of the lilo package. incidentally though, my /boot/boot.b is just a symlink to /boot/lilo/boot.b so make sure that that's also not there...
