well, i guest with this message this thread will be closed: Because i am writing this within LINUX!!!!
I downloaded the drivers from the page that Allen stated to and i am still dont know why or how but after several attempts, the modem was recognized.
I still have tons of doubts about lots of things but that's another story :-)
As schatoor said earlier, this site is really COOL!!!
