large file download problem
Hai all,
I have windows 2003 server and couple of linux machines rh9,fc4 and suse.
I web shared one folder in 2003 server consists of 10gb and 20gb single files.
While downloading thru firefox in all the above linuxes i cant able to download the whole file, shows only 2gb.Tried with ftp also .If i use psftp from windows
to linux the whole file is uploaded, but taking more time.
Is there any limitation issue related to os and/or ftp?
Is there any workaround?
Thanks in advance
bye
sg

There is a limitation inside browsers for large file, since they were not designed with that in mind. Use ftp, ssh, rsync and the likes for large files.
There seems to be some network lag between Windows and Linux. I'm not sure what the cause is, but from Linux to Linux is much faster then from Windows to Linux.

What is the file system you are saving the file to? A Fat32 drive will have a 2 GB filesize limit.

Hi
I am uploading from windows to linux. windows in ntfs and linux in ext3.I think there will not be a file system problem in this case.
If i upload thru psftp.exe from windows to linux its ok full file uploaded. if thru ftp client from windows to linux
only 2 gb uploaded.
any suggestion
