large file download problem
Hai all,
I have windows 2003 server and couple of linux machines rh9,fc4 and suse.
I web shared one folder in 2003 server consists of 10gb and 20gb single files.
While downloading thru firefox in all the above linuxes i cant able to download the whole file, shows only 2gb.Tried with ftp also .If i use psftp from windows
to linux the whole file is uploaded, but taking more time.
Is there any limitation issue related to os and/or ftp?
There is a limitation inside browsers for large file, since they were not designed with that in mind. Use ftp, ssh, rsync and the likes for large files.
There seems to be some network lag between Windows and Linux. I'm not sure what the cause is, but from Linux to Linux is much faster then from Windows to Linux.
