Question konsole acts as "Root Konsole"

Hi all,

I'm having a strange problem on KDE: When I click on "Konsole" icon on my panel; it starts the Root Konsole (you know, the one which immediately asks for root pwd).

The same happens when I manually try to start it by "Run Command" tool, ie: ALT + F2, entering "konsole" and pressing ENTER key...

And ofcourse I'm a non-root user.

Any ideas?

Thanks Nylex, but settings there seems normal to me. Do you suggest me to particularly check any special setting?

Only that it's not set to "Root shell".

Nylex, couldn't see there anything that sets the default shell?

(I would send a screenshot, but as my native language is not English, I thought that it won't help.)

Ah, never mind. I think I made a mistake. I'm not used to using Konsole.

SOLVED!

By examining konsole configuration file (~/.kde/share/config/konsolerc), noticed that it contains the evil line:

Code:
DefaultSession=su.desktop
I don't have any idea why it is there, or how it is appended there; but anyway! Just deleted it, and bingo!

Interesting! KDE gives you several menu options for running Konsole. Since I only use the Konsole Super User mode I've got it mapped to a keyboard shortcut. KDE has very good GUI tools for working as root from a normal user log-in.
