I know this is probably a really stupid question, but when i boot a kernel(bzImage or vmlinuz) and the source folder is '/usr/src/linux'(or the source isnt even included) how do i know what version kernel im running?
unfortunately ver isnt a linux command and even if it were could refer to the kernel or shell version.
