Question Jailbreaking the Nexus tablet

Not sure if that's the right term in this context, but say I have a Nexus tablet and I want to 'cleanse it' of all its Googleness and install a different version of Linux than Android, how straightforward would it be?

Do you think there are available drivers for all of the hardware on it?

Is that a rhetorical question?
I have no idea. That's why I'm asking.

not the rite term since most android devices (except for amazon kindles i beleive) are jailbroken by default. i think starting with ice cream sandwich you would need to go into the menu to enable developer options (aka installing stuff from places other than the google play store).

but i dont think thats what op is looking for. i use cyanogenmod on my nexus-7 which is pretty good but fairly similar to android. for a very different experience you can experiment with ubuntu.
