ISO image won't fit on CD

Maybe this is a silly question....but i am new to Linux and trying to install a mandrake distribution. When i download the ISO image and extract it, it ends up being more than the 700 mb allowed on a cd? Am i doing something wrong?

Do not extract the ISO image, it is ready to burn. Check the manual and/or help pages of your burning software for the proper settings to burn an ISO image. And yes, 700+ MB is allowed when burning an ISO image to the media.

Maybe this will help;
