Is it possible?


Is it possible to have a Linux and windows on your computer but instead of it Dual booting could you use the windows inside of linux like WINE but to where every thing worked like the MMC, WMP, or am I just dreaming?

Yes, you can run Windows in a virtual machine like virtualbox and other virtual environments.

The only time I've tried it, I used virtualbox (see www.virtualbox.org), but there are others as I said.

WINE is for running Windows programs on Linux.

You really only have 2 choices:
Dual-boot
Virtual machine

I run Windows all the time. Usually one copy of Win2000 and one copy of WinXP. Both in my Linux distro using VMWare Workstation as the virtualization software. The video isn't fast enough in the emulated machine to play games, but short of that it works fine.
