installing grub for SUSE


my friend is using SUSE . but on reinstalling his windows(he has a dual boot) his linux cant b loaded..
ofcourse grub needs to be installed.......................HOW TO DO THAT FOR SUSE???

let me say that everytime you do something with MS you are likely to have the same problem again so in the long run you may want to have a live cd such as kanotix or knoppix which is ideal for such a purpose.....if you have a floppy drive you can make a floppy with grub on it...see my tut if you like....anyhow using a linux live cd or maybe the suse in recovery mode

open a terminal
get root powers (in live cd thats typing ) su
grub
root (hdX,y).....where your /boot partition is in grub speak
setup (hd0)
quit

and reboot to test
