Install/Uninstall Perl Module?

Hi

Does anyone know how to uninstall a perl module. I tried to install a "Net::FTP" module using below commands.
---------------------------------------------------
cpan>install Net::FTP
Going to read /home/medvinsy/.cpan/sources/authors/01mailrc.txt.gz
CPAN: Compress::Zlib loaded ok (v2.008)
............................................................................DONE
Going to read /home/medvinsy/.cpan/sources/modules/02packages.details.txt.gz
Database was generated on Mon, 03 Dec 2007 11:37:33 GMT
CPAN: HTTP:ate loaded ok (v1.47)
............................................................................DONE
Going to read /home/medvinsy/.cpan/sources/modules/03modlist.data.gz
............................................................................DONE
Net::FTP is up to date (2.77).
---------------------------------------------------

It says its install but when I check to see if its installed or not it gives me this output:

Net -- ??

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Im using a centos linux

probably it is installed. how did you check whether it is or not?
perldoc Net::FTP
should give you info on how to use the module (if it is installed)

to uninstall a perl module you can cd into the directory where the source code resides if that still exists and run "make uninstall".
Some may support that, others not. If not you can rm the files manually. Probably they reside somewhere in /usr/lib/perl on your box.

I guess installing it with the cpan tool packs the downloaded stuff into a tmp directory but not sure. If so you can remove manually only i think. But why? They dont eat much space...

Thanks for the help. I eventually found this nifty script which removes the perl modules installed on your box. Its pretty cool it asks you before removing a module. Here is a below link from cpan.

Probably a question better posed on the various Perl forums, e.g. PerlMonks, where it has been answered many times before.

Bear in mind that the software-maintenance software of your favorite "distro" might be written in Perl, in which case you must be very careful about possibly disturbing it.
