Lightbulb Image at boot

I've seem some picture on the net with some logos/images when they boot the computer I want that too. How can I do it and most important for a newbie like me, is there any program which helps doing it? Sounds silly but I would ratter prefer a custom boot then Mandrake's default. Probaly is just recompile the kernel and change something that I don't know

Thanks

Well first of all you need to know which boot loader you are using. I suppose you are using grub. There's the splashimage option. For more information you could check Graphical Framebuffer Console or this mailing list thread

The BEST information I found through a simple google search was
Grub Splash Image Howto!

Well I tried it and it doesn't really work 100% fine using Debian/GNU Linux. A friend of mine is using it on S.u.S.E Linux which I'm no fan of ...
