Icewm "startup" script problem

I am using icewm (version 1.2.17-1) as my window manager and recently changed from mandrake to archlinux and the ~/.icewm/startup script has stopped being run on startup.

I have made sure the file is set "chmod a+x" and I have "#!/bin/bash" as the first line.

Anybody else have this problem?

I use ice, but no startup script - I put all my initialization in my ~/.xinitrc's. Still, I think you need to run icewm-session for that and it's possible your ~/.xinitrc got messed up - especially if you're using a system-wide or arch-provided one. May be an ~/.Xsession file, too. Depends on how you intialize the whole X and ice startup processes. So I'd look through that.

Yeah, ends up that my .xinitrc only had "exec icewm" instead of "exec icewm-session". That is what ArchLinux puts in the .xinitrc by default it seems and I didn't know any better except to uncomment the line to boot to icewm.

Thanks.
