Question I had Red Hat in my laptop once!

I installed redhat 7.2 in my Inspiron 8100. It was working ok but now when I type "startx" the only thing I get is a blue screen. The only way to get out is "ctl-alt-del" and the gnome "logout/halt/reboot" window appears and works. Any suggestions?

Have you changed anything in the configuration? If not, maybe try using fsck on the whole hd (maybe there was a small data corruption).

Have you thought of trying to upgrade to 7.3? I'm running 7.3 on my 8100 abd X is running at 1600x1200 flawlessly. Now wireless is another matter.... Does your Dell creak a lot?
