I cannot mount what Linux will not let me mount

First there was BLAG (the thread's around here somewhere, I'll post the link when I find it), now there is Feather, and neither one will let me mount any other partitions, and I mean nothing, Windows or Linux. Feather is a live cd, and when run from the disc it detects all my drives, and mounts any partitions. Once on the drive, all drives are detected, but it won't let me mount anything. I'm logged in as root in all cases, so it's not a user issue. Can anyone tell me what's going on?

Well, there can be a bug in anchoring code.
What error message do you get? Please post it together with the content of your /etc/fstab

Ok, I should have said I'm an almost total newb (I have no clue about the config files, I was in the hardware manager and such), so I didn't really know what you meant. But I did find fstab, figured out what it was, and was able to configure all my drives (though it took a few tries). Thanks for your help, this is all I really needed to start using Linux a LOT more.

I don't suppose there's a complete reference of config files, is there? I'm pretty good with Windows and comps in general, I just don't have a clue where anything is in Linux.

Apps will usually post config files in /etc/ for global config files, then user based config files in the user's $home, under .%appname%.

Under /etc/ will be lots of global config files, usually after the appname.
