I can't log after I installed IPCop and rebooted Ubuntu 8.04

My system was working fine, I did a reboot, and after reboot I have installed IP Cop, I rebooted again the system and now it gives me this error:relocation error: cat: symbol __guard, version GLIBC_2.3.2 not defined in file libc.so.6 with link time reference

My question is, how do I turn back this modification ? Or, what can I do in order to boot the system and be able to log in as root ?

After it gives me that error the system is blocked and I can't do anything, keyboard is blocked, caps lock not working, num lock not working, etc.

I have ubuntu 8.04 live cd, I can boot with it, but what changes should I make in order to remove the IP Cop ?

IP is an entire distro, it normally wipes the hard drive during the installation process, anything on the disk gets removed. IPcop is designed to do that as a secure firewall. What ever you had on there before is gone. The only way is to re-install what ever you had on there before and then restore from backup if you had any.
