Question how would i do this?

my laptop does not run FedoraC1 (the NIC is not picked up) and i refuse to go back to MDK10 after what it just did to my system so im back to RH9.

i know RH is dropping support for RH9 the 30th of Apr. 04.

my question is simple desire to build a set of CDs that will have the most up to date errata on my system so if in the furture i have to rebuild my laptop for what ever reason i can and still have updated patches etc?

is there a way to do this without knowing how to custom make a kernal etc.?

im sure i could ghost over the system somehow, but would prefer to not deal with ghosting and would like to make some kind of CD that has either just the updates on it, or is bootable and installs with the updates.

Install apt4rpm and after the system is up to date using that, make a cd of the directory /var/cache/apt

I don't think so, but you can uninstall and re-install and they will be downloaded to that directory.

BTW, apt-get install synaptic will install a GUI frontend if you want/need.
