How to SCAN LUNs in MULTIPATHING?


Hi Friends,

Can anybody give me the command to SCAN the LUNs in LINUX MULTIPATHING ?

How to scan the LUNs in MULTIPATHING ?

Please help me with your command.

This dependa on your distro, hardware and kernel version.

For eg. qlogic HBA you can find a solution here.

multipath -l
Also if you have trouble with the command above make sure you have multipathd added to your list of services and turned on.

On a side note we dropped using the vendor multipathing software and started using the native linux one in a production environment and I am very suprised so far. It is working really well with our CX4-240

Hi

I think u want to scan a disk & that is used for the multipathing so used this command

echo "- - -" > /sys/class/scsi_host/host0/scan
