How to make Simple Script to remove all files ending in mxm

Hi guys, does anyone here know how to make a simple script to remove all files in a large directory (with subdirectories) ending in .mxm? I have tried using the find command with the -exec option and a few other options with rm $(etc etc), any ideas?
