how to get menu bar at top of screen like Macs
hope that title clarifies what im looking for..
in mac OS's, the menu bar (file, edit, etc) isnt located at the top of the window.. its located at the very top of the screen.
i believe it was Xerox who originally did it, but they did studies and proved that it was the most logical and ergonomical place to put it.
iv seen a screenshot of this in kde, and would like to know if you can do it without additional software, and, if not, then: what software?
Thanks

In Gnome, they're called panels, and you can put them whereever you want. I have to believe that KDE is similar.
What do you get if you right-click on the panel/menu bar?
What happens if you just grab it a try to move it?

This is easy at KDE. Do a right click at your desktop. Go to configuration... Go to behaviour... You should see an option offering you either no desktop bar, a desktop bar or a menu bar (ala Mac).
