How to disable flash player for certain sites?


hello i want to disable flash player for certain sites cause of their advertisements.. how can i ?

Hi,

That depends a bit on which browser you are using.

Most have plugins that can do this for you, others have per-page settings.

adblock plus is a Firefox extension that does just that.
a button appears above top-right of the flash app to let you block it next time

flashblock can do it was well, in both firefox and chromium. Probably also in seamonkey.

arora has this functionality built-in, but as said above by someone else, it depends on the browser.

run "Ad block plus " AND "No-Script"

In Opera, you can change preferences by pressing F12 for a little menu with things like "enable plugins", which toggles Flash on and off (and other things, of course). It also enables you to control pop-ups, animation, and sound.

hosts file to target the sites ads.

do not use the host file
that went out a few years back

Alternatively set this pref on:

opera:config#UserPrefs|EnableOnDemandPlugin

Then Flash and other plugins will appear with an arrow you must press before they can play.
