how to change gdm to kdm?


my default login manager is gdm now and I want to change to kdm, anybody know where to do it?thanx

I was in Guangzhou last week....visited ZhongShan, where my grandfather is from,
Anyway, on your login manager there should be a menu from which you can choose either KDE, Gnome, Gdm, whatever you want, then logout while saving session and that should change the default into whatever you chose.

If you have a file .xinitrc see if you can find a line that says something like this:
Code:
#!/bin/bash

exec gdm
And change gdm to kdm.

If there is no file ~/.xinitrc then you may create one and put that in there.

edit the file /etc/sysconfig/desktop

change "DISPLAYMANAGER=gdm" to
"DISPLAYMANAGER=kdm"

there's no "desktop" in /etc/sysconfig!
