Hi,

I installed a game using Wine. The game was HL Counter-Strike. The game loads loads but i need to update to the latest version...blah blah blah. The game works basically. I was just testing it and no long want it on my HD. As you know wine creates a "hidden" directory in /home/username/ called ./wine/fake-cdrive or something like that. I cant see it from my filemanager but its there.

My question is how do i uninstall the game? The way i play the game is i pop the cd in the drive and then click the setup.exe and from that the autorun screen comes up but it gives you an option to "play" if it detects you have the game installed. As im typing this I think i remember seeing an option to "uninstall" the game too. Im not at home so i have to check it out. For you Wine Gurus out there...can you still teach me how to remove a game using the wine command. Thanks.

Try ls -a in an x terminal.

Also, you should have an option in your filebrowser that will allow you to see hidden and backup files.

Cool command! That worked. I found the .wine folder and then noticed the "sierra" folder was in the wine folder. To get a clean Uninstall im going to remove wine and then reinstall it. Or just get Winex. Can you please explain what the two files that transgaming is offering to dowload are? one is a "cvs"...what is that? Is the full version Winex free? I know winex is much better at running games than wine. In fact, wine is mainly used for running applications, not games, right?
