It depends which one desktop environment you use. What you need to do is to set Mozilla do handle all html files in your system. Write which one you use: KDE or GNOME?

In GNOME it's in Control center, Document support (? using Polish version, so it may be something different in your GNOME), Default applications, Web browser. I don't have KDE now to look into it.

Similar in KDE. Control Center, File Browser (or something similar) and then Document Prefs (or similar). HTML should be the one to look for, it should be in text section.
Cool

that works, but i am looking for a way to set a default browser for the system, like when i click on a link in an application. for example, in evolution, if i get a link in an email, how can i click on it to open it in the browser of my choosing? there are no options in evolution itself, so i am assuming it is some sort of system wide variable that sets the browser for use.

Evolution is a GNOME program, so I suppose you should also set GNOME defaults. But I may be wrong.

Exigent, that should work. The above directions: "Go to K..." but you need to move whatever you wish to use as default to the top of the list.
Cool
