Hi Guys. I am a newbie in the Linux world. I just installed RH8 on my computer with Win 98 running on the side. I was using GRUB as the bootloader for selecting the desired OS at startup. As usual, Windows got infected by a virus & I had to format the entire windows partition & reload windows. Now I don't see Grub anymore. Whenever I start the PC, it boots directly to windows. How am I supposed to get back to Linux?.
Distribution: Debian, BSD, IRIX, MacOS, Solaris, AIX, HP-UX, other Unix, other Linux, other, windos (declining...)

You can boot a GRUB floppy or use a LILO boot floppy to get there, then re-run the GRUB installer (just 'update-grub' under Debian). If you don't have an easy way to get a boot floppy, you could install 'loadlin' under Windows to boot back over to your Linux partition so that you can re-run the GRUB installer.
You can get loadlin at either Freshmeat.net or Download.com.
Boot with your deadrat cd and when you get to the boot prompt type "linux root = /dev/hd**" (*replace with the location of your root partition) then reinstall grub to the mbr.
