How do I find where a print job came in the queue
We have Redhat 5.8 on an HP G6 server. A few years back I installed a printer for myself to use (only Admin here). I physically removed the printer from the network. I checked recenty and something is sending a single print job to it everyday, and I cannot find where this job is coming from. I know I can use lpadmin -d PrinterName to remove it, but if I do this could it cause any system problems? Using lpq I see => 17th root 537 (stdin) 2048 bytes. Anyone know how I can find out where it's coming from or if I remove it from cups will it cause any system issues?
I can use "strings" to view the c files in /var/spool/cups, but I don't get any clues to really help. Mostly I see the user is root, job-name is stdin, document name is cupsL4mDpgI, and most other isn't telling me too much.
Thank you.
