How come cdrecord cuts all the names of my files

How come cdrecord cuts all the names of my files. For example myfilewithalongname.php becomes myfilewi.php

These are my commands as root

mkisofs -o /var/tmp/home.cd /home/keith/

then

cdrecord -v speed=2 dev=0,0,0 -data /var/tmp/home.cd

The cd gets written but all the file names are changed ????????

I've been searching the forums but dident find anything about this

cos that's what mkisofs will do if you don't use the correct options, i.e. -l among a bunch of others. see the manpage for mkisofs for more details

Try the -r and/or -J options. -r enables ROckRidge, which lets you have long filenames when you read the CD on Linux, and the -J is Joliet, which is the same thing except under Windows.
