Red face help with redhat 7.1 and ttyS4 serial port.

Would you happen to know if Redhat 7.1 supports serial com port 5?

Upon linux boot up Linux at first only sees 4 ports ttyS0 , S1, S2 ,S3 then when bootup completes I setserial S4 to proper irq. BUT i cant use it, serial port wont work.

TO TEST SERIAL HARDWARE:
I switched S3 and S4 settings to test and S4 (witch now has
S3 settings) works but S3 (witch has S4 settings) wont...

I have tried 2 free IRQs and same issue..

Ideas?

fixed it!!! redhat saw com5 (ttyS4) as a fourport instead of uart16550 mode... I just added ^foutport at end of setserial. The ^disables function...
