Help with pointer issue

Hi,

I installed RH 7.0 linux a while ago on an old p150 and installed it without a mouse and was just using the console shell for mucking about. Well now i want to run X on it because i have a video card that can handle it finally. Problem is when i try to run X it gives me a unable to initiate pointer error (something like that) so im assuming i need to install the pointer. Can anyone shed some light on this? Give me a quick tutorial if at all possible?

Thanks In advance,

Simonkaos

No Core pointer

The actual error is :

No core pointer

fatal server error:
failed to initialize core devices

Any help will be appreciated.
