Help with direct rendering


as you know i want to install quake 3 on linux and I did the opengl info command and it says direct rendering: no how can I get direct rendering working?
I have a nivida geforce 2 mx 200

you should be able to jsut load the "dri" modules like all the others in your XF86Config

If you'll load dri for NVIDIA chip you'll defeat the purpose of functionality of NVIDIA driver ( http://www.nvidia.com ). Have you installed these drivers?

IIRC, Nvidia won't even *use* DRI because of it's own kernel/X11 modules.
