Unhappy HELP!!! no gui in RH 8.0

Ok so I mistakenly installed the incorrect nvidia drivers for my geforce 2 Ti and now I'm stuck at the command prompt. When I was using older vers of Redhat I was able to config video/audio in as ascii menu at the cmd prompt by using 'linuxconfig' or something like that. How can I re-configure my video from the command line? What and where is the RH 8.0 command for getting that config menu? THanks in advance.

Not sure which utilities you have, so console-only method. Open /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 file in any editor (as root). It may be joe, vim, pico...
Then comment out 'Load "glx"' line (by putting # at the beggining). When it's done, search for 'Driver "nvidia"' and change it do 'Driver "nv"'. Save the file. Test it (and install the right drivers).
