GoogleEarth

Something to add to my previous gripe. I saw that GoogleEarth is available on Linux as well as Windows so decided to install it. Of course, "setup.data/bin/Linux/amd64/setup.gtk2: error while loading shared libraries: libxml2.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
setup.data/bin/Linux/amd64/setup.gtk: error while loading shared libraries: libSM.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
The setup program seems to have failed on amd64"

So I installed the files concerned. And of course this is the message I get after installation. Any clues?

What distribution do you use? Are you using a Google Earth suited for your distribution or just the one from the google site?
Do you have checked if your 3D setup is already working well? ie. glxgears?
