Exclamation Gnome end ssh auth

It does happen to gnome at its login window and to sshd if i try to connect from remote . If i login through the shell (!ssh) i can login . I wonder what's wrong considdering configuration for pam is the default this is what auth.log says:
Code:
Jun 14 22:33:25 mail gdm[3161]: (pam_unix) authentication failure; logname= uid=0 euid=0 tty=:0 ruser= rhost=  user=user
Jun 14 22:33:40 mail gdm[3161]: (pam_unix) authentication failure; logname= uid=0 euid=0 tty=:0 ruser= rhost=  user=user
Jun 14 22:33:57 mail login[4101]: (pam_unix) session opened for user user by (uid=0)
Not much ! And i'm not also that familiar with pam so what pam file configuration want to help me solve this ????
I run debian etch !!!
Thanks !

You don't.

Just stop trying to use the machine as root. Remote logins
and root-logins into a GUI are quite dangerous, and you should
be thankful for it stopping you ;}

Happy to discuss if you need an explanation for this.

Cheers,
Tink
