Freezing xterm

After using emacs for some time, by accindent, I press "ctrl-x ctrl-s" in an xterm. the xterm then freezes! Anybody knows what is happening, or how to recover the xterm, or how to prevent this? I don't know if it's window-manager related, but it happens in both xfce4 and icewm. Using Debian sarge (testing). Does this happen in other linux-distributions?

Yep! Been there, done that.

No idea why. But if you press ctrl-q it unlocks again.

Regards
Martin
