Free Patching System?

I was wondering if there was a free patching system out there for Linux/Windows networks. My site has very limited bandwidth and having all my machines go out and use Automatic updates/Yum/Swaret is becoming a real hassle. I would much rather have one server to go out and grab all the patches and then have the patches dispersed from there nightly.

Thanks in advance

I know for sure that apt supports proxying.

In terms of swaret - I don't know it well enough,
but assume that it should be easy enough for
you to set a machine up as a local repository.

Yum I don't know .... ( i know it exists ;})

Cheers,
Tink
