fluxbox background goes back after restart

This is very weird, I changed my wallpaper using fbsetbg, I added:
session.screen0.rootCommand fbsetbg -f ~/.fluxbox/backgrounds/grace.jpg

to my /.fluxbox/init file, changed /.fluxbox/lastwallpaper and when I restart x and enter my login name and password fluxbox picks up the splash screen background as its wallpaper, not the one I predefined. What is wrong with this thing? I don't see where I mess up.

Delete lastwallpaper, chang the rootCommand to fbsetbg -l, and run the fbsetbg -f ~/.fluxbox/backgrounds/grace.jpg in a console.

I think I had the same problem once, and that's how I solved it.

Thanx for the help, but it didn't work. I just changed the splash screen background and now it works fine, even though my background shows up at the login time, which is not exactly what I wanted. Heck I can live with it. I am open to other suggestions.

i use windowmaker, and so long as i have my desktop backgrounds in the ~/GNUstep/Library/WindowMaker/Backgrounds/ directory, i have no problems getting them to "stick" using wmsetbg. but if i would use the same method to set the background and leave the file in, say, a "~/pictures" directory it reverts on restart. i'm not sure if the two (fb and wm) are close enough that the "fix" is that simple or not.
