Firefox 3.03 Submitting a New Thread Error

I ran some updates on my ubuntu hardy distro and after the running the updates I noticed that any website that is using PHP including this website, I cannot submit any thread. It gives a message saying,"opening newthread.php" and asks me where I want to save the php page. I know this is a bug and have read many items on the internet in regards to this but I yet to fix the issue. Can someone guide me in the right direction? It is definately a Firefox issue because I am using Seamonkey to post this stuff without any issues.

In tools->options menu, check the 'applications' tab and remove the php entry.

?????? - This is Firefox version 3.03. There is not a tools----options

I ran an about:config where you place the url stuff and that will give options but I do not see anything at all that says anything about PHP.

I think it had something to due with the proxy. I tried reinstall squid, dansguardian and etc but ultimately end up reinstalling the distro(CentOS 5). It works great now. To be honest with you, I give you the summary:

I had a hardware issue with my firewall that kept freezing so I decided to take the hdd from that machine and put it into a completely different machine. Amazing the kernel was able to detect the hardware from the new machine and it loaded up fine. I had some minor tweaking but it seemed to work fine. The only problem was this issue with loading up PHP pages through me web browser. This was the issue that I had. I think that it was a cork with Dansguardian that I just could figured out. I reinstalled the distro and things are ok.
