fedora 10 ppc wont boot on imac g4

Dont really know where I should of put this thread, but here it goes!

Installation of Fedora 10 ppc went fine, only OS on my iMac g4 since the version of mac os was really old, boots up and gets to keyboard map loading then just freezes, either text goes extremely big and distorted colours and hangs on normal screen and a green bar is on the bottom of the screen... really annoying since ive had to reinstall mac 10.1.4 just to find a fix on the net.

Any ideas appreciated, I have a gentoo 2008 ppc disk too but doesnt seem like that wants to even get to installtion i just get a black screen.

Thank you

here is an idea i have actually used this one if u have another computer at your disposal u can use pearpc to install fedora on pearpc, the virtual discs that are used for pearpc are .img files u can use the dd command to write them back to a REAL HADDRIVE if they your distro boots up and runs right under pearpc then all u have to do is write the .img to your real harddrive plug it back into your mac and bingo working booting fresh installed linux

fedora 10 on G4 imac (ppc)

Some additional information on grimbob issue

The first reboot does appear to hang on loading keyboard map
Mine machine did finally (X11) and ran firstboot script There was message about kernel crash (submitted to kerneloops) And about a two minute gap in messages log (avahi-daemon - ntpd) Will post logs if anyone wishes and any other info I find

BTW Tried Fedora 11 first but could not get it to load (seemed to be ati video issue)

cheers
