/etc/modules.conf


Ok guys, ive been trying to get my sound working with alsa, but until now, it hasnt worked, i copyed my friends moduloes.conf file edited out his second usb-controller and nvidia entries, and copy and pasted from the disk.(he uses redhat 8.0, i think). But now i get this error over and over, when i boot my mdk 9.0.
Detecting USB Interface etc/init.d/usb line 37: etc/modules.conf read-only file system
how can i fix this?

Make it executable. When you copied it, its only read only in which it needs to be executable to work properly and read from.

chmod +x /etc/modules.conf
