error messages on start up

I recently started getting error messages on startup after switching from ubuntu 22.04 to ubuntu-unity 22.04.1. I tried installing ubuntu-unity 22:10 using a ubuntu-unity live usb and deleting 22.04.1. That didn't fix the problem. I hope that the images of both startup screen and log files shows up.

"recovering journal" on the last screen indicates that your system was not shut down cleanly.

Try running fsck for this filesystem. If this won't help and "recovering journal" appears at every boot, you should investigate why your system is not being shut down properly.

Okay, thanks for the info. Will check fsck, not sure what I'm looking for but will find out. As far as shutting down properly, always shutdown the normal way. Wonder if it might be better reformat the drive and do a clean install of ubuntu-unity 22.10 or do just ubuntu 22.10

After doing some searching for the cause of the error messages. I found that the top error messages about blacklisting are due to the linux kernel 5.19 bug so just have to wait for bug fix on next kernel update. As for the other error messages I decided to remove ubuntu-unity and clean install mate 22.10. We'll see how that runs. Thanks for the replies and help, I'll mark this as solved.
