E-Mail Services
I'm about to tackle the task of a corporate e-mail server and am wholeheartedly ready to assign Linux the task. I have a couple of questions though:
1. To make this as close to an Exchange based product as possible, what packages would be the best to install?
2. Would sendmail be my only option for outgoing mail(I'm trying to avoid it's numerous security holes)?
3. I need the flexibility of a virus scanner to filter out those nasty outlook problems. And a content scanner for those other (truly) nasty problems.
4. I need the ability to host server side e-mail lists as well as calendar sharing between individual users(and perhaps a global company calender). Is this Outlook specific, or does linux have a server side option?
5. As much as I hate to do it, I need the ability to snoop on users e-mails at will(I'd like the ability to redirect all their outgoing messages to me as well as their destination).
Heh, if I'm asking for entirely too much let me know. I have a wonderful K6-2 300 with which to build this linux beast(along with ~ 128mb of ram). Is this too little for an e-mail server serving ~ 45 users?
