duplicating linux installs

Hi,

I need to set up a couple of identical fedora core installs on about 5 identical computers. Instead of installing fedora on every one of them separately and then applying all security updates and tweaking it a bit, is there a way to duplicate the hard drive images or something? Preferably over the network?

I was thinking Norton Ghost, but that's giving me some weird errors (and breaks grub).

Also, would just rsync work?

Thanks!

I used to use ghost for windows and its a fine program. The linux version is
www.partimage.org and this program is on live cds such as knoppix.

2) issues with 5 identical computers is not so easy to answer but its my try.

a) partition all drives with the same tool don't use fdisk then change to cfdisk etc.
b) b4 you copy a partition image to the clean drive do the MBR restore first (yes I know its never been on yet that is the name of putting the mbr image "on" )
c) then put the image on
d) I don't use Fedora but partimage says its can do images over the network but I have not tried.

Actually, all you have to do is setup an install server and NFS on that server.
Installations from the network are done with NFS.
