Dpkg error in kernel build
After update and upgrade I get an error, several really telling me building of the kernel failed. When I rebooted after the offending upgrade got this error: vfs failed to mount root file system. I got that fixed.

dependency problems - leaving unconfigured
dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of linux-image-amd64:
linux-image-amd64 depends on linux-image-6.0.0-kali6-amd64 (= 6.0.12-1kali1); h
owever:
Package linux-image-6.0.0-kali6-amd64 is not configured yet.
dpkg: error processing package linux-image-amd64 (--configure):

Errors were encountered while processing:
linux-headers-6.0.0-kali6-amd64
linux-image-6.0.0-kali6-amd64

linux-image-amd64
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

Kali is really not meant to be upgraded that way. You should head over the official Kali forums to get help.
Kali is for security professionals, it is not a normal desktop. Treat the whole distro as a single app, and only upgrade from the official source.

Then you need to be posting here: https://www.kali.org/community/
Kali is too advanced for this forum to assist with. A skilled penetration and security expert like yourself should be able to fix this issue without help from this forum.

Let's see I've been using kali since kali 1 and have seen it evolve from a buggy, unstable distro to an pretty normal debian with a bunch of security tools. I have been helped immensely through this forum. Snobs should just keep scrolling we don't need you bs opinions. That is not helpful.

What does this even mean? Kali updates the same way other debian based distros with apt. apt update, apt upgrade, apt full-upgrade and you want to upgrade at least daily if you want up to date tools. Kali seems to have this fog of myth surrounding it that it is somehow a special distro, it's not. It's just Debian-testing with security tools. It's its inclusion of a great collection of pen testing/hacking tools that makes it special. If you aren't going to offer anything of value just keep scrolling
