Hello all.
As we speek I am downloading to my hard drive the 3 iso images
off of redhat. I am running in windows.
Do I just burn the iso's onto CD's and then install linux ?
Is there anything I have to do during the CD burning process ??

Also how do I CHECKSUM ???

Don't worry about the checksum. Look at the size. If it tallies with the accepted size of the package, you have nothing to worry about. It's all part of the secure trust-enabled open platform stuff everyone's parping on about.

If you have a burning program in windows like EezeeCeedee Creator or something, double click on the .iso file (which should be associated with the program) and it'll start to burn the bootable image to CD. Note only the first cd (CD1) is bootable. That's how you get into run linux.

The OS is free. But it's really important that you go to the bookshop tomorrow before you install it and buy a good book on Linux.

Depends on your download speed. Approx 4-5 hrs per CD
