Question distro for music server?

I am thinking about building a music server based on a VIA Eden 800 mainboard. Which distribution or GUI would be my best bet? I initially only plan on using it on a VGA monitor but I would eventually like to get it onto my TV. Also, what jukebox software titles would be good bets to use. I don't want to use XMMS as the interface is clunky for this sort of application.

Thanks in advance.

as far as distros go, use whatever your comfortable with. you'll spend less time learning how to configure it, and more time using it. for software have a look at this

good luck.

I really like JuK, it has an iTunes-esque interface and you can use it to organise your files, and set up playlists really easily. It has some other cool features aswell, like searching.
