desktop env in slackware 8.1

i use slackware 8.1

questions:
1.In my kde menu editor, i cant delete a menu(the trash icon is always disabled), how to
fix this?

2.Kmix in my kde cannot be executed but it can be docked in panel, how to fix this?

3.What's the shortcut key in gnome and kde for opening console/shell window?

4. I want to be able to run fully 100% all gnome project s/w in icewm desktop env but i don't want using gnome desktop env because of its bulkiness *i use old pc*. IOW, i want to substitute GNOME DE with ICEwm DE.
What should i install beside gtk+ lib and icewm ?

Thx for the answer
